Team 1114 Simbotics

Team 1114 - Simbotics

Every year, students from Governor Simcoe Secondary School in St. Catharines, Ontario gather in the depths of the Technology wing, and start planning for a new game. Simbotics is an extracurricular program at the school, in which students design and build a robot from the ground up to perform a specific task. This task is part of the game, which is distributed every year by VEX Robotics. This game is played by hundreds of robotics teams from around the world, and is the training ground for the engineers of the future.

The games in which Simbotics (team number 1114) participates are not the typical robot games that you see on TV, where robots are designed to smash each other to bits. These games are developed in a way where both teams are trying to perform a specific task, while slowing the other team's progress. These fights are always fair, and robots do not directly attack each other.

Since FVC's formation in the 2005, and our transfer to VRC, we have won many awards and achieved many accomplishments, solidifying our position as one of the most well-known teams in the competition.

Of course, none of this could be possible without our generous sponsors, our dedicated mentors, and our inspiring teachers at Governor Simcoe. Thanks to everyone who has dedicated countless hours to prepare us for the future!
